The Nike Kybrid S2 “Best of” is a hybrid performance basketball shoe that combines elements of Kyrie Irving’s fourth, fifth, and sixth signature shoes with Nike Basketball. The “Best of” colorway functions in the way of Nike’s beloved “What the” theme by mixing together some of the most popular designs in the Nike Kyrie line. A 2020 release, the Kybrid “Best of” features overtures to the Nike Kyrie 5’s “Flytrap” lace overlay and the Kyrie 6’s “Seeing Eye” heel counter. Several nods to the SpongeBob SquarePants x Nike Kyrie 5 come into play in the design. The left shoe displays a yellow wavy Swoosh in reference to the cartoon character’s yellow porous body and the right shoe features a pineapple motif that represents the look of SpongeBob’s home. Other designs, like the Kyrie 6 “Neon Graffiti” and Kyrie 4 “Halloween,” are blended into the mismatched look of the Nike Kyrie Kybrid S2 “Best of.” Release date: October 30, 2020.
